WNBA Draft 2024: Caitlin Clark Expected to Go No. 1

Top Prospects and Team Needs

Who Will Get Picked First?

The 2024 WNBA Draft is just hours away, and the next class of future stars is about to walk across the stage. With the Indiana Fever holding the No. 1 pick for the second consecutive year, all eyes are on Caitlin Clark, the standout guard from Iowa.

Clark: A Sure Thing at No. 1

Clark is the clear No. 1 pick in this year's draft. The 6'1" guard has been a force in college basketball, averaging 27.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game last season. She is a gifted scorer with a high basketball IQ and the ability to create for herself and others.

Team Needs and Top Prospects

Beyond Clark, there are several other talented players who could go in the top 10 of the draft. Isobel Borlase, a 5'11" guard from Adelaide, Australia, is a versatile player who can score from anywhere on the court. Kelly Campbell, a 6'2" forward from Stanford, is a strong rebounder and defender.

The Indiana Fever are likely to select Clark with the No. 1 pick, but the remaining teams in the lottery will have their pick of the litter. The New York Liberty, who have the No. 2 pick, could use a player like Borlase to complement their young core. The Minnesota Lynx, who have the No. 3 pick, may opt for Campbell to bolster their frontcourt.

The 2024 WNBA Draft is set to begin on Monday night at 7 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast live on ESPN.
