Mexican High School Students Selected for International Philosophy Competition in Finland

COBACH Students to Represent Mexico in Prestigious Academic Event

Three students from the Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Chihuahua (COBACH) have been selected to represent Mexico in the prestigious International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) to be held in Finland this year.

The students, identified as Valeria Acosta, Ángel David Holguín, and José Ángel Holguín, earned their place on the Mexican team after excelling in the national philosophy competition held by the Mexican Academy of Philosophy.

The IPO is an annual event that brings together top philosophy students from around the world to engage in philosophical discussions and debates.

This year's competition will take place in Helsinki, Finland, from May 7th to 14th.

The COBACH students will be among 80 participants from 30 countries who will compete in various philosophical disciplines, including ethics, metaphysics, and epistemology.

The Mexican team will be led by Dr. Alejandro Herrera, a professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

COBACH, the largest public high school system in Mexico, has a long history of excellence in academics.

The school has consistently ranked among the top educational institutions in the country.

The selection of three COBACH students for the IPO is a testament to the school's commitment to providing its students with a high-quality education.

The students' participation in the IPO will be an invaluable opportunity for them to learn from and engage with some of the brightest young minds in the world.

It will also be an opportunity for them to represent Mexico on the international stage and to demonstrate the country's commitment to philosophical inquiry.
