The 2017 NBA Draft took place on June 22, 2017, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The Philadelphia 76ers selected Markelle Fultz with the first overall pick.
Fultz, a 6'5" guard from the University of Washington, was a standout player for the Huskies. He averaged 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game in his lone season at Washington.
The Boston Celtics traded their first overall pick to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the third overall pick and a future first-round pick. The Celtics then drafted Jayson Tatum with the third overall pick.
The Los Angeles Lakers selected Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick. Ball, a 6'6" point guard from UCLA, is the son of former NBA player LaVar Ball.
